Edward Nigma a.k.a. The Riddler is a Supervillain from Gotham City. The
Riddler does simply commit crimes, they are always accompanied by a
complicated puzzle tied in with various riddles. The Riddler has always been
one of my favourite Batman villains, it may be my soft spot for riddles and
puzzles, but I have always found him one of the most intriguing characters
in Arkham Asylum.
So this costume just sort of found me... I did very little to end up with it. I
was dressed as Poison Ivy with a huge group of other Batman characters
working as a floor model at Fan Expo for a company called Heroes in Tights.
At the end of the day when we were all getting changed into other things my
friend Sean who had been dressed as the Riddler asked if anyone wanted his
costume. I jumped on it so insanely quickly and Bam here we are. Me dressed
as The Riddler! In girl form that is... I have to say I rather enjoy this costume.
It is clearly based on the Batman Forever version of Riddler so I decided the
bright red wig I had for Poison Ivy would work. The shoes are horrible.. they
were just a pair of shoes I happened to have with me at Fan Ex. I am hoping
to pull together some things for this costume so I can rewear it another time
with the proper accessories! I am hoping to find (or make) a purple belt,
gloves, and boots so I can make this more like Classic Riddler! I also need to get a new hat! The one I am
wearing in the pictures belonged to the owner of Heroes in Tights, so the next day I gave it back to him. One
other thing I really really want is the question mark cane! Next time you see this costume I will hopefully have all
of those things!
