Selphie Tilmitt - Final Fantasy VIII

Selphie is an energetic, spunky and slightly clumsy transfer student at Balamb Garden. A powerful magic
user Selphie is filled with many talents that lie deep beneath the surface. Eventually becoming the
pilot of the Ragnarok Airship, Selphie is definitely more than meets the eye.
This costume was made very spur of the moment. I always liked Selphie, she was rather annoying
and seemed like quite an air head, but right from the get go she has insanely good magic and has
the potential to be one of the strongest characters in the game. I ended up with a wig that worked
perfectly for her (it was actually the wig from the Paper Bag Princess costume) so I styled it up
and just happened to come across the perfect yellow fabric at work, for a really good price at
that, and I also managed to get a free drapery rod that I ended up turning into the nunchakus.
So this costume really just ended up falling together without any real stress or effort in finding
things. It was however insanely complicated for what it actually was. I took some of my own artistic
license with a few of the details of her costume (such as the boots, zipper pull, and necklace) But I
am however very happy with how it turned out and I absolutely love the pictures Kevin took!
