Zatanna is the daughter of the magician Giovanni Zatara and Sindella. Zatanna
was a stage illusionist prior to discovering her actual magical abilities. A member of
the Justice League Zatanna first appeared in Hawkman and has since appeared in
various other DC titles including Batman and Green Lantern. Zatanna is powerful,
intelligent and beautiful and has always been a character I've really enjoyed!
This.. this is not Zatanna anymore! Or cannon at all really. I needed a costume for
the Toronto Zombie walk. I was supposed to be Black Lantern Wonder Woman,
but I never ended up getting the costume done in time. I was having massive
bias tape issues. SO I decided, to go with the group of black lanterns we had I
would be Zombie Zatanna. My thoughts was she could be one of their victims.
The reason I have a black Lantern ring is actually because it was made for me by
my friend Phil to go with my Wonder Woman, but since I didn't have that done
yet he gave it to me in advance, and since I didn't want to loose it (plus it looked
insanely awesome) I decided it was best to just wear it!
The details on this costume are really all over on my Zatanna costume.. this is
just that costume.. only destroyed! I shredded the tails of the tail coat, ripped
off the one sleeve of the jacket, ripped the cuff off the other sleeve. I then ripped
up the cuffs of the white shirt and got my friend Cait to cut a hole in the white shirt under ripped off sleeve of
the jacket then cut scratch marks into the waist part. All and all I am really really happy with how this looked
destroyed! Also it was a lot of fun to do XD
My Makeup was done by the always awesome Stargazer-Gemin, though a lot of the poofyness and
discolouration around my eyes was because I was sick! Luckily that added really well to the costume! Also yes,
those are contact lenses!
